* Prerequisites: ITA2020 or equivalent knowledge of the language

Objectives Students are expected to improve their communication ability through the integrated practice of the four language skills; acquire a deeper understanding of contemporary Italian society; develop the ability to articulate their opinions, to argue and debate in the target language, to understand and critically appraise information. The teaching and communication medium is Italian.

Synopsis The aim of the subject is to stimulate and improve advanced language acquisition through the integrated practice of the four language skills. The program has a thematic approach: aspects and issues of Italian society are presented through audio, print and video materials, and constitute the framework of all student centred activities. Grammar review is not predetermined in content, rather it is provided on the basis of needs and requirements.

Assessment End-of-semester test: 30%
* Continuous assessment of oral, aural and written tasks and/or assignments: 70%
