Synopsis A minor dissertation of not more than 15,000 words on an approved topic of the students' own choice. Students will undertake individual research and have regular contact with a supervisor overseeing the students' work and progress. A minimum of one hour per week consultation, averaged across the period of enrolment, is required. In the process of preparing their dissertations, students will be required to participate in a non-graded honours seminar. Each student must deliver a presentation of about fifteen minutes defining the field of their research topic at an appropriate time in first semester and a twenty-minute presentation outlining work-in-progress sometime in second semester.
