Objectives and synopsis As for GRN3285 but at fourth-year level, with one additional text. Students will be expected to read more widely in general and especially when preparing written work and class papers. In addition, students should have acquired an awareness of the hurdles faced by women writers throughout the last two centuries, their responses to these, and their attempts at creating a feminine/feminist aesthetic.

Assessment Written (4000 words): 70%
* Examination (1 hour): 30%

A reading list will be provided at the beginning of the semester.
