Objectives and synopsis As for GRN3175 but at fourth-year level, with additional reading material. Students will be expected to read more widely in general and especially when preparing written work and class papers. In addition, students should have acquired some knowledge of the history of the noun and/or verb systems of German and how formally to represent them.

Assessment Written (4000 words): 70%
* Examinations (1 hour): 30%
