Objectives A student completing this subject should have acquired a detailed knowledge of one aspect of European culture, politics, economics or society, and be able to place this knowledge in a wider European context.

Synopsis This subject enables students to take one of the following MA subjects in European studies (subject to availability): Modern Europe: a regional study (EUM4030); International business (EUM4040); Europe today (EUM4080); Interpreting East and Central Europe (EUM4090).

Assessment Research essay (9000 words): 100%
