Objectives Students successfully completing the research project should have acquired the skills of researching and writing an extended, original discussion on a specific topic and demonstrate that they have achieved the standards of presentation and referencing required for an academic thesis.

Synopsis This subject is compulsory. The topic must be chosen as early as possible in consultation with a relevant staff member. Students are expected to start their preliminary reading during the summer vacation. Two copies of the research project must be submitted in typescript and suitably bound not later than 31 October.
