Writing in theory and practice: an introduction

Objectives As for ENH2995. In addition, third-year students should develop an understanding of the processes involved in the evaluation and assessment of writing, and develop more sophisticated bibliographical and editorial skills.

Synopsis As for ENH2995.

Assessment Folio submission (fourth week): 15%
* Text analysis (2000 words): 25%
* Research essay (2000 words): 30%
* Folio submission (last week): 20%
* Workshop and seminar participation: 10%
* Third-year students will be expected to write a research essay including an annotated bibliography and to present folio work which is more analytical and self-reflective.
