Objectives As for ENH2930 with the additional objective of acquiring a more explicitly theoretical understanding of the concepts and problems of a national cinema in English.

Synopsis As for ENH2930.

Assessment Essay (2000 words): 30%
* Class Test (1500 words): 25%
* Exercise (1500 words): 25%
* Class paper and participation (1000 words; paper to be handed in in essay form): 20%
* Third-year students must demonstrate wider reading and film-viewing, and a greater critical grasp than second-year students.
