Objectives As for ENH2520, with the additional objective that students should be able to demonstrate an understanding of theories of ideology appropriate to the analysis of film.

Assessment Essay involving theoretical component (2500 words): 40%
* Test (2 hours): 30%
* Class participation and exercises (equivalent to 1500 words): 30%
* Third-year students will be expected to demonstrate in their class participation and written work, evidence of greater theoretical reflection on the subject.
