Objectives As for DTS2870, with the additional objectives firstly that they should have applied their accumulated experience of drama and theatre studies to their research and arguments and secondly that they should have demonstrated an awareness of theories of the relationship of dramatic practice and social history.

Synopsis As for DTS2870.

Assessment Tutorial/workshop participation and presentation: 20%
* Short essay (1500 words) or short devised performance: 30%
* Long essay (3000 words): 50%
* Students at third-year level will be required to read and work on selections of more sophisticated material for their presentations, answer specified essay questions and include in their project a short reflective essay dwelling on the theoretical implications of what they have been looking at.
