Objectives As for WSM4180, with the additional objectives that students should develop a more comprehensive and sophisticated understanding of the central debates in contemporary feminism and of the methodolical and epistemological debates concerning feminist research.
Synopsis As for WSM4180, with the additional synopsis of a significant theoretical engagement with issues of postmodernity and politics as they are played out within contemporary feminisms.
Assessment (8 points) Seminar participation: 20%

short applied research task (2000 words): 30%
* A long research essay based
on seminar presentation, and on a topic relevant to the student's research
interests (4000 words): 50%
