Objectives On successful completion of this subject, students will have developed an extensive knowledge of key debates and concerns in a focussed area of gender studies. They will also have furthered their skills in applied research, theoretical analysis and oral communication.

Synopsis In 1998 this subject will be offered as a directed reading course. Teaching staff will be determined in consultation with the director and in response to expressed interest of students.

Assessment (8 points) Written (6000 words): 100%
Assessment (12 points) Written (9000 words): 100% (for pre-1998 students only)
