Objectives The objective of this subject is to give students an undrstanding of modern Thai society and the changes it is undergoing through examination of contemporary literature.

Synopsis This subject is the continuation of THA4310 with material being drawn from Thai contemporary literature.

Assessment Written assignment: 40%
* Translations: 30%
* Class presentation: 30%

Options for advanced studies in Thai Options exist for students of advanced Thai to undertake subjects in specialised readings in Thai and Thai for business communication. Options may be negotiated with the Department of Asian Languages and Studies.
