Objectives To have students acquire oral communication skill for socialisation. In writing students will develop composition skill. The reading component aims to develop comprehension and interpretation of reading text.

Synopsis This course is designed to expand students ability in conversation, moving from simple exchange of information towards social dialogues, expression of feelings, opinions and knowledge in such areas as health and physical condition, travel, weather, sport and leisure, geopgraphy, etc. The writing component, students will develop their composition skill in variety of topics. The reading component will be based on short narratives derived from actual Thai materials.

Assessment Examination (2 hours): 40%
* Oral examination: 30%
* Assignments and classwork: 30%
