Objectives Students who successfully complete this subject will acquire critical skills in undertaking original research relating to religion and theology, drawing on methodologies of a variety of disciplines.
Synopsis A research paper on a topic agreed upon both by the candidate and the candidate's supervisor. The research topic will relate to the critical study of a theme in religious studies or in theology, providing training in research skills and contemporary methodological approaches. The research topic may be contemporary or historical in nature. It will apply to religious or theological issues disciplinary skills developed in relation to other fields of scholarly enquiry.
