Objectives This subject should enable students to develop an understanding of the practical principles of publishing, and of the key dimensions of professional skill inherent in the editing and preparation of texts for publication. Students will gain an understanding of how text preparation can differ for the various forms of publishing, eg journals, magazines and scholarly publishing. This subject aims to develop understanding and competence in a branch of professional editing or editorial management.
