Advanced Japanese language in Melbourne

* Prerequisites: An undergraduate major in Japanese with a third-year sequence at credit level or equivalent

Objectives On completion of this subject students should be able to refer to Japanese books, journals and newspapers for honours-level research, be able to interview a native speaker for data collection and be able to develop self-study skills for further study.

Synopsis This subject will normally be taken by honours students intending to enter either a graduate diploma, postgraduate diploma or masters qualifying program who will study on the Clayton campus. The aim is to further raise interactive competence of the students to a very high level. In this subject students will continue their studies at the appropriate level (D, E or above).

Assessment Coursework test (2 hours): 50%
* Examination (2 hours): 50%
