Japanese discourse acquisition

Objectives Students should become familiar with approaches to the analysis of Japanese discourse and with issues in language acquisition.

Synopsis This subject deals with the acquisition of appropriate rules for Japanese discourse and the methodology of discourse acquisition studies. The topics discussed will be the structure of Japanese discourse, problem analysis, acquisition of grammatical, conversational and corrective competence.

Assessment (8 points) Two essays (2000 words each): 40% each
* Test (2 hours): 20%
Assessment (12 points) Two essays (3500 words each): 40% each
* Test (2 hours): 20%
