Research seminar in applied Japanese linguistics

Objectives Students should develop an understanding of different research approaches and methodologies in order to design research projects and present research reports.

Synopsis This subject introduces students to the role and conduct of research in applied linguistics and sociolinguistics. The subject is designed for students intending to write minor theses or research papers, but will also be of benefit to students undertaking other data-based projects.

Assessment (6 points) Essay (4500 words): 100%
Assessment (8 points) Two essays (3000 words each): 50% each
Assessment (12 points) Two essays (4500 words each): 50% each
