Objectives As for HYM4210 with the additional objective that students should develop a more sophisticated understanding of the changing historical relationships between authors, literature and national identity.

Synopsis As for HYM4200. In their written work, students doing the subject at fifth-year level are expected to demonstrate a wider range of reading and a more sophisticated understanding of key theoretical issues in the analysis of literary texts.
