Directed studies in geography

Objectives Students participate in an established subject either within the discipline or in an appropriate related discipline. Learning objectives as specified for that subject but the formal assessment to be negotiated by the department's fourth-year coordinator to ensure that it meets the requirements of a 400-level 12-point subject.

Synopsis Students enrol in one or a combination of subjects in geography or some other discipline, a selection of readings and discussion in a particular area, or a set of lectures etc. under the general direction of a member of the staff.

Assessment Assessment is based on assignments during the subject and an examination.
