Objectives students successfully completing the research project should have learned the skills of researching and writing an extended original discussion of a significant topic in German lingusitics. Upon completion a student should have demonstrated a mastery of scholarly conventions and protocols, an ability to argue a complex case by reference to texts, and an ability to write clearly and lucidly.
Synopsis A long essay on an approved topic in German linguistics.
