Objectives As for ENM4320. Upon successful completion of the course fifth year students should have learned to read and use the major theoretical frameworks in the field of theatre semiotics and performance.

Synopsis As for ENM4320. Fifth-year level students will read more widely in the theory of the semiotics of rehearsal and performance and will be expected to deal with all assessment tasks in a more theoretical and theorised manner.

Assessment Text analysis (1500 words): 25%
* Performance analysis (1500 words): 25%
* Short script for film or theatre plus exegesis or theoretical essay (3000 words): 50%
