Objectives As for ENM4310. In addition fifth-year students should have completed a research paper in discourse analysis requiring a critical choice of, and argument for, the methodologies used.

Synopsis As for ENM4310.

Assessment Discourse analysis (2000 words): 40%
* Research paper in discourse analysis (4000 words): 60%. Students at fifth-year level (8 points) will complete a shorter research paper which they may workshop in class in lieu of a formal spoken presentation for assessment.
