Objectives The students should improve their language skills by further study, written and oral discussion, of Cambodian literature, newspapers and contemporary issues, with particular emphasis on contrasts between traditional and modern Cambodia.

Synopsis Further study of literature, newspapers and contemporary issues in Cambodia, bringing out contrasts between traditional Cambodia and Western-influenced Cambodia.

Assessment Examination (3 hours): 60%
