Objectives As for ASM4100 with the additional objective that students will also gain an appreciation of the relationship of work on violences on the `crisis in representation' in the social sciences.

Synopsis As for ASM4100.

Assessment (8 points) Essay (2000 words): 20%
* Project (4000 words): 60%
* Seminar work: 20%
* Students must show some appreciation of the relationship of work on violences to the `crisis in representation' in the social sciences, in either the essay or the project.
Assessment (12 points) Essay (3000 words): 20%
* Project (6000 words): 60%
* Seminar work: 20%
* Students must also show an appreciation of the relationship of work on violences to the `crisis in representation' in the social sciences, in both the essay and the project.
