Project seminar (industrial design)

* Prerequisites: PPR3107
* Corequisites:
IDE4108 and TAD4502
* This subject is taken in conjunction with TAD4502. That subject is concerned with the academic philosophy and research issues that underlie the major project, while this subject is concerned with the effectiveness of the professional practice as part of the research and planning of the major project.

Objectives On successful completion of this subject, students should be able to analyse the methodology and sub-methodologies underlying their undertaking of the major project; report on their management of a project; review and revise their strategies and management of the major project.

Synopsis Students expose their management, planning and research methods for their major project in a series of seminars. The subject is concerned not with the design content of the major project, but rather, with its management and implementation; and its methods for relating it to the broad philosophical and other contextual issues surrounding it.

Assessment Oral and written seminar presentations: 100%
