Objectives On successful completion of this subject, students should understand ergonomic principles in a design context; source and apply anthropometric data to products; incorporate ergonomic principles and practice into the design process.
Synopsis This subject covers the theory and application of ergonomics, anthropometry including human variability, static, and dynamic anthropometric data; ergonomics in the design process and the role of professional ergonomists in design.
Assessment Written assignment: 30%
