Objectives On successful completion of this subject, students will possess skills in judging the proportions of motifs and their relationship with surrounding space; skills in creating logical tonal relationships through observation of a motif; awareness of perceptual processes.
Synopsis As a foundation for subsequent development, the basic elements and principles of drawing will be studied. At this level emphasis will be placed on various methods of perception and depiction. A range of subjects will be utilised, including figure drawing from the model.
