Objectives On completion of this subject students are expected to have developed a capacity to solve fabrication problems through additional technical instruction in both the wood and metal workshops; an understanding of the language and definition of terms commonly used in sculpture such as line, shape, form, weight, mass, density, surface, texture, light and space.

Synopsis Studio practice will be concerned with the acquisition of skills and techniques relating to sculpture, through various projects of a permanent or non-permanent nature. Students will be encouraged to use different media such as clay, wood, plaster, resin, paper and found objects.
