Objectives On successful completion of this subject, student should be reasonably familiar with and understand the key conceptual issues relating to the medium of print; be able to discuss contemporary theoretical, historical and aesthetic issues; either be experimental and innovative in their use of materials and concepts or feel able to justify their persistence with traditional processes and iconography; be able to independently research and resource materials relevant to individual needs and interests; implement safe workshop practices at all times.

Synopsis The studio practice involves projects dealing with print including the more experimental collograph and mono print with the edited print, where there is an emphasis on experimentation in ideas and materials. Formal and informal seminars discuss contemporary attitudes relating to print and provide a forum to review and critique work produced. Students are encouraged to discuss and hone the concepts employed in their work developed from their past years of study.
