Objectives On successful completion of this subject, students should have developed strategic skills necessary for improving their work in the longer term; the confidence in planning work with a view to accepting external influence which may seek to alter such planning; skills in honouring projected deadlines; a self-critical awareness of the work undertaken.

Synopsis Students work largely on their own but are subjected to interference, sometimes of a contradictory nature. Their vision is assayed by attempts to influence their work, not in a capricious or artificial sense but replicating naive or personal responses which can be expected to emanate from patrons. The students' skill in turning such comment to their benefit is honed throughout.
