Objectives On successful completion of this subject, students should be able to assess and defend conceptual and design decisions and clearly communicate concepts through their finished glass work; show mastery of design processes, techniques and technological considerations; participate in a critical dialogue with respect to their own and others artistic practice; research, analyse and appreciate the role of the glass artist in contemporary society; recognise the governing values within their own emerging glass practice.

Synopsis This subject focuses on the effective transition of students to the professional glass artists and/or higher degree studies. Students and supervisors review and extend the work program developed in APA3305 to reflect the direction and achievements of students. Studio sessions and individual tutorials encourage a critical self-appraisal of works, constant evaluation of progress, and investigation of future opportunities and options as appropriate for individual directions. Students participate in a seminar program to explore historical and contemporary glass practice and the connections between theory and practice.
