Objectives On successful completion of this subject, students should be able to investigate ideas using skills in a variety of visual processes and technologies; have an ability to evaluate concepts and critically reflect on their resolution; understand the implications of scale when interpreting designs; be able to explore a larger range of materials and processes; be proficient in applying health and safety procedures associated with studio practice.

Synopsis This subject provides a rigorous program to broaden students' awareness of concepts and techniques across a range of approaches and encourages them to seek appropriate solutions. Continued research and investigation materials and processes fosters the acquisition of a technical language and influences appropriate choices to realise concepts. Emphasis is placed on students' continued capacity to critically assess their own work as well as that of their peers.
