Public health and women's health
1 hour 45 minutes per week over 14 weeks

Synopsis A population perspective will be taken and a focus on the distribution and aetiology of health, illness and disease among women in Australia. The social, political and biological factors associated with patterns of health and illness will be explored as well as the effectiveness of the current and potential patterns of health service delivery. Processes of policy development, program planning and implementation will also be discussed. As well the subject will examine the use of appropriate research methodologies designed to address the impact of gender on health outcomes.
