Objectives The student is expected to acquire knowledge in industrial drives, power generation, quality, aspects of energy management and current issues in power engineering.
Synopsis Energy management, protection, tariffs, harmonic elimination, supply quality consideration. Industrial drives: different topologies, invertors, PWM and other techniques for improving output quality, DC-dc converters.
Assessment Examinations: 70%
