Objectives The student is expected to acquire an understanding of the thermodynamic processes/cycles upon which various heat-work conversion plants are based. The student is expected to acquire a basic knowledge of the method of application of basic concepts and theoretical approaches covered in prerequisite studies to actual industrial plant.
Synopsis The subject will discuss the thermodynamic processes/cycles of steam power plant, positive displacement machines, nozzles, gas turbines and internal combustion engines.
Assessment Examination: 60%
