Thermodynamics II
3 points * 24 lectures * First semester * Clayton * Prerequisites: CHE2120
Objectives The student is expected to acquire a knowledge and understanding of applications of thermodynamics in practical situations including the analysis of compressible flow, the analysis of processes and the behaviour of real solutions.
Synopsis Compressible flow. First law and second law analyses of processes. Ideal and non-ideal solutions - molar and partial molar properties, solution models, fugacity, activity and activity coefficients.
