English language and learning support


School of Graduate Studies, Clayton campus

Writing workshops that focus on the various types of writing required in the School of Graduate Studies (essays, theses, etc) are provided throughout the year and advertised in the faculty newsletter, LinkEd.

Individual consultations on study strategies, writing, oral presentations, cultural and language issues arising during coursework or research are available throughout the year.

Weekly sessions are held for students who need to enhance their oral presentation skills.

English enrichment courses (five hours per week) are offered during semester breaks.

Peninsula School of Education, Peninsula campus

Academic support is available to students through the Language and Learning Services unit which is available for students wishing to improve any aspect of their language or study skills. Courses, workshops and individual consultations are run on a regular basis. Students are encouraged to visit the Self-Access Centre on level 1, building A, for individual or group study purposes, to borrow materials or use the centre's audio and visual resources. Gippsland School of Education, Gippsland campus

Students may avail themselves of the services offered at the Gippsland campus through the Language and Learning Service unit, telephone (03) 9902 6365 or 051 226 165.
