Objectives At the completion of this subject students should be able to identify and critically assess existing professional practice in relation to critical topics of professional concern; analyse and develop programs, strategies and tactics to address nominated areas of professional concern and evaluate relevant skills and methodologies from other professions and apply these to recordkeeping professional practice.

Synopsis This subject analyses topical issues in archives and records management and enables in-depth investigation in areas of special interest.

Assessment Class paper and presentation: 40%
* Research-based project: 60%
