Objectives On completion of this subject students should have acquired knowledge and understanding of human behaviour at the level of the individual, the group and the organisation; developed attitudes and habits of scientific inquiry in order to provide a valid basis for diagnosing problems and planning action; developed self-awareness, especially through experiential learning.
Synopsis This subject examines the functioning of organisations in our society as social as well as economic institutions and studies individual and group behaviour within these institutions. Social systems theory provides the general framework within which the subject is developed.
Assessment Written (4000 words): 50%
