Objectives On completion of his subject, students should understand the theory and practice of the development and implementation of agricultural policies; understand the various interfaces between government and agribusiness; be aware of the major political, technological and environmental, issues facing agribusiness in Australia and other countries; appreciate advanced concepts of business strategy and their implications for agribusiness firms.
Synopsis Topics include objectives and implementation of agricultural policies in Australia and other countries; theories of the policy-making process; agribusiness organisations and the role of government; technological change and environmental issues.
Assessment Case studies: 25%
