Objectives On successful completion of this subject students should be able to plan and deliver effective oral presentations; use appropriate computer presentation software; plan and effectively participate in formal meetings; work effectively in groups; apply principles of communication theory to communication via technology; utilise principles of effective conflict management; demonstrate good research skills; and apply principles of communication to bring about effective intercultural communication.
Synopsis This is a hands-on subject combined with theory that enables students to communicate effectively in a technological era. Students will learn principles of effective human communication, both interpersonal and public, and apply them using a range of modern technologies. Emphasis will be placed on class participation and group work.
Assessment Examination (2.5 hours): 50%
