Objectives In undertaking this unit students become familiar with a poetical work (the Siwaratrikalpa) and apply their knowledge of the language to analysing the text and forming an appreciation of its literary aspects.
Synopsis An introduction is given to poetical (kakawin) texts, with a discussion of their literary aspects.
Assessment Examinations (2 hours): 60%
