Objectives Students successfully completing this subject should be able to comprehend Japanese television programs related to social, political and cultural issues; actively join in discussion with native Japanese speakers on current issues in Japanese; take the chair in discussion; comprehend written Japanese presented in journalistic style and complete simple written tasks in work-place situations.
Synopsis This is the fifth part of the accelerated Japanese program and is designed to bring the students close to the level of semi-native competence in both the spoken and written languages.
Assessment Examinations: 60%
