The course aims to provide a high standard of craft and interpretation in performance and the opportunity for candidates to undertake advanced major performance projects and research which extends their knowledge of music performance practice and repertoire. Students should develop an awareness of the inherent relationship between performance, conducting, composition, musicology and ethnomusicology.
