MA part I
A bachelors degree or its equivalent with a minimum of level C proficiency in Japanese (ie completion of the most basic undergraduate major).
MA part II
Completion of MA part I or the Graduate Diploma of Arts (Applied Japanese Linguistics) with grades of credit or above in all subjects, or an honours degree (or the equivalent in a relevant field) with a grade of HIIA or above with a major in the Japanese language.
MA by research only
An honours degree (or the equivalent) with a grade of HIIA or above with a major in the Japanese language.
