Objectives On successful completion of this subject the student should be able to apply knowledge of the basic aspects of computer use; understand the basic set-up and components of a Macintosh graphics system; understand the relationship between the different softwares and resources.
Synopsis Students are instructed in the use of the computer, mouse, keyboard and filing of work. Assigned projects involve inputting and setting up text; indents, tabs, margins, paragraphs and other functions of simple wordprocessing. As projects demand, selection of typefaces, spacing, kerning and placement of graphic images is undertaken using page layout software. Students will learn to use a `Draw' program and export illustrations created there to other programs.
