Product engineering 4
4 points * One 1-hour lecture and 2 laboratory hours per week * Second semester * Caulfield * Prerequisites: DES2004
Objectives On successful completion of this subject students should be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills in the application of modelling packages with particular reference to engineering and technical drawings of product designs. Additional skills will be developed in the use of spreadsheets, database and wordprocessing software for product design purposes.
Synopsis The main focus of this subject is to build substantially on the knowledge and skills established in DES2004 (Product engineering 3) with special attention to computer-aided design techniques based on Autocad, Alias, Corel Draw and similar programs including file transfer protocols.
Assessment Progressive assignments: 70% * Class tests: 30%
