Studio practice (glass)

Objectives On successful completion of this subject students should be able to use glass creatively to realise concepts; have a basic understanding of the skills of glass manipulation, understand the physical properties of glass, glass constituents and elementary glass theory.
Synopsis Students will be introduced to the potential of glass: the creative possibilities of glass, hot-glass and warm-glass studies and techniques to realise their concepts. Students will be introduced to projects involving hot glass and kiln-worked glass through lectures, demonstrations, tutorial, audiovisual presentation and seminars.
